The aircrafts keep on crashing over my motherland. Pulkovo is Saint Petersburg’s own airline and the thought that any number of the people I know could have been on that plane is unsettling.
I love the official comments – “definitely not terrorism, guys, everything was in order, crew sent mild cries for help.” Oh, thank god it wasn’t terrorism! What the hell! Can someone just come out and say that the newest Tupolev 154 was made in 1984? The pride of Soviet air-fleet, the model was banned by China in the late nineties. But surely, if China’s one billion citizens are not ready for our Cold War era mechanics, we will prove her wrong by flopping our rusted metal wings all over the wide Russian skies. Whatever it takes to cover up the shattered local industrial complex.
What are 170 lives, after all, in the grand scheme of things? There’ll always be oil and gas, and you can stick your WTO membership up your cellulite-rippled behind, old boys! We will keep flying our degenerate planes, manufacturing your Fords and Toyotas with our garlic-smelling hands and taking all ice-skating gold at the Olympics. Is that ok? Cuz if not, get your pin-striped suit out of that IT-outsourcing-oil-refinery- financial-investment meeting, catch our TU-154 back to your overpriced, furnished pad in Moscow, pray that we don’t splatter your ass all over a small Ukrainian village, and move on!
Does everything Russian crash? Well the economy isn’t, cuz you are supporting it, stupid!

Woah, good rant poopka! Did you also read about the plane from Amsterdam headed to India that got turned right back around… presumably “terrorism” but haven’t heard about it since that morning last week.
